Junagadh weighbridges for groundnut, mangoes and fish.
Junagadh district grows some of Gujarat's finest groundnut, and its oil mills and kernel-grading units run on that crop. In summer the Kesar mango season fills the yards with crates, and on the coast Mangrol lands fish every day. Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा) across Junagadh district.
For a Junagadh groundnut oil mill or kernel-grading unit, a 40–60 MT pit-less weighbridge with a 12–16 m deck weighs pod trucks in and oil tankers or kernel loads out; market-yard traders need a stamped 60 MT, 16 m kanta, and mango packing and ripening units 30–40 MT. Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad.
Three trades, three calendars: size each kanta for its season.
- Kernel lots traced to the slipSMFW records party, lot and net weight for every pod purchase and every kernel or oil dispatch, so graded export lots trace back to a weighbridge slip.
- A deck sized for the mango seasonA 30–40 MT deck of 9–12 m is enough for pickups and small trucks, and costs less than a full-length highway deck.
- Built for wet loadsSealed IP67/IP68 load cells and a draining deck for fish trucks and monsoon run-off, plus a 25-year structural warranty on the RCC concrete (T&C apply).
Who needs one in Junagadh: Groundnut oil mills, groundnut kernel grading and export packing units, the Junagadh market yard and the yards of Keshod, Manavadar and Visavadar, Kesar mango packing, ripening and cold-storage units, cotton ginning, the fishing harbour at Mangrol, and small engineering units in Junagadh GIDC.
Also called a dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा), truck scale or weigh bridge. We also serve Keshod, Vanthali, Manavadar, Mangrol, Visavadar, Mendarda, Bhesan.

Groundnut oil mills and kernel graders
Pods are bought by net weight after the kharif harvest, then leave again as oil, cake and graded kernels, some of them packed in export containers.
Our setup: A 40–60 MT pit-less deck of 12–16 m (18 m if export containers are loaded on site), with SMFW recording the party and lot for every pod purchase and every kernel or oil dispatch.
Kesar mango packing and cold storage
The season is short and the vehicles are small: pickups and light trucks bring crates in May and June, and the unit is quiet the rest of the year.
Our setup: A 30–40 MT deck of 9–12 m that weighs a pickup in seconds, with an AMC visit planned just before the first arrivals.
Mangrol fish trade
Insulated trucks drip ice-melt water and salt onto the deck every day, which ruins open electronics.
Our setup: A 40 MT, 12 m deck that drains, sealed IP67/IP68 load cells and a closed junction box, washed down after each shift.

Monsoon run-off and wet loads: keep the load cells dry.
Junagadh weighs three trades on three calendars. Groundnut arrives after the kharif harvest, and a mill buys pods by net weight, crushes them and sends oil out by tanker and cake by truck, so the slip for every load must tie back to the stock register. Kernel-grading units also pack bold kernels for export, and a container that leaves for the port needs its gross mass declared, which starts with a correct weight at the gate. In May and June the Kesar mango season brings pickups and small trucks, so packing, ripening and cold-storage units need a shorter, lower-capacity deck that weighs quickly. Heavy monsoon rain around Girnar can bring fast run-off, so a raised pit-less deck with clear drainage keeps the load cells dry. At Mangrol, wet fish and ice-melt water drip on the deck every day: sealed IP67/IP68 load cells, a deck that drains and a regular wash-down keep it accurate.

From pod truck to stock-register slip.
Six steps for your project in Junagadh. Most of the waiting is the foundation curing, so the drawing comes first.
- 1 · Your traffic in JunagadhTell us the heaviest vehicle you weigh (here, typically pod trucks, oil tankers, kernel trucks), the space at the gate and the daily count. An engineer replies within one working day.
- 2 · Size and quotationOur usual starting point (groundnut oil mill / kernel-grading unit): 40–60 MT, 12–16 m (18 m for container trailers) deck, Pit-less steel. The quotation comes with the foundation drawing.
- 3 · Foundation on siteYour civil contractor builds the concrete pedestals to our drawing; we can check the levels before the deck arrives.
- 4 · Fabrication and dispatchBuilt and tested in our Ahmedabad workshop; dispatch in about 2 weeks from a commercially cleared order with PO, then delivered and placed on your foundation.
- 5 · Installation and calibrationDeck placed, load cells and indicator connected and calibrated, slip printing set up, and Legal Metrology verification supported.
- 6 · AMC and serviceAMC, breakdown visits, calibration and annual re-verification support from our technical desk, so the weighbridge stays accurate for years.
