Unjha weighbridges for jeera, saunf and isabgol.
Unjha in Mehsana district is a spice-trading town: much of the cumin (jeera) and fennel (saunf) grown in Gujarat and Rajasthan is traded through the Unjha APMC, and in 2026 Unjha cumin and fennel received a GI tag registered in the name of the Unjha APMC. The town is also a centre for isabgol (psyllium) processing and export. Spice lots, cleaned and graded bags and export loads are all settled by weight, so Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा) across Unjha taluka.
An Unjha spice processor needs a 40–60 MT, 16 m pit-less weighbridge (dharam kanta) for incoming lots and outgoing bags; an isabgol exporter loading 40-ft containers 60 MT on 18 m; a transporter or godown at the yard with multi-axle trucks from Rajasthan 60–80 MT on 18 m. Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad and dispatches it about 2 weeks after a cleared order with PO.
Cumin in, graded bags out: the weighbridge keeps the cleaning loss honest.
- Follow the cleaning lossWeigh every lot in and every bag load out on one stamped weighbridge, with the lot number on the SMFW slip.
- Sized for container trailers18 m and 60 MT for 40-ft export loads of isabgol and spices; 16 m suits 20-ft only.
- Dust kept outIP67/IP68 load cells, a sealed junction box and a clean platform gap in spice and husk dust.

Spice cleaning and grading units
Lots come in from many traders and leave as graded bags, and the cleaning loss between the two decides the margin.
Our setup: A 40–60 MT, 16 m weighbridge with every truck weighed in and out, stored tares and the lot or bill number in the challan field of each SMFW slip.
Isabgol processors and exporters
Seed comes in by truck and husk leaves in export containers, and the shipping papers need a container gross weight.
Our setup: A 60 MT, 18 m weighbridge for 40-ft container trailers, in concrete (RCC) or pit-less steel.
Spice godowns and transporters
Multi-axle trucks bring spice lots from Gujarat and Rajasthan in the harvest months, and a lot held for a trader can weigh differently on release than on arrival.
Our setup: A 60–80 MT, 18 m pit-less weighbridge with a straight approach, and the lot number on the SMFW slip at intake and at release.

Weigh in and weigh out on the same stamped weighbridge.
In Unjha, every truck carries a high-value load, so the weighbridge is part of the accounts. A spice processor receives jeera or fennel from traders in Gujarat and Rajasthan, cleans and grades it, and sends it out in bags; the difference between what came in and what went out is the cleaning loss, and it can only be followed if every truck is weighed in and out on the same stamped weighbridge. Put the lot or bill number in the challan field of each SMFW slip, and use stored tares for regular trucks. Most processors manage with 40–60 MT on 16 m. Isabgol exporters load 20-ft and 40-ft containers: the truck weighbridge gives the gross of truck and container, and the exporter or its agent derives the container weight from it as the shipping line requires; a 20-ft container trailer fits on 16 m, a 40-ft trailer needs 18 m, and 60 MT covers a loaded trailer. Godowns that hold lots for traders see multi-axle trucks in the harvest months from February to April, and a stored lot can weigh differently on release than on arrival; weighing it in and out on the same weighbridge, with the lot number on both slips, shows the difference before it becomes a dispute. 60–80 MT on 18 m with a straight approach suits these trucks. Spice and husk dust settles everywhere: IP67/IP68 load cells, a sealed junction box and a platform gap that is kept clean keep the readings true. A weighbridge used for trade must be verified and stamped by Legal Metrology before use; Symphony gives stamping support.
