Hazira weighbridges for port, steel and slag traffic.
Hazira is the industrial and port belt at the mouth of the Tapi, on the Surat coast. A steel plant, heavy-engineering yards, petrochemical, gas-processing and fertiliser plants, an LNG terminal and ports handling bulk cargo and containers work along one corridor, and the transporters, scrap traders and service yards around them run trucks round the clock. Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा) across Hazira, Ichchhapore, Mora, Bhatpore and Kawas.
A Hazira transporter's yard usually needs a stamped 80–100 MT, 18 m pit-less or steel-cum-RCC weighbridge (dharam kanta), so every trip has its own record to compare with the plant or port slip; a slag, mill-scale or scrap trader 60–80 MT on 16–18 m in concrete (RCC); a fabrication or service yard 60 MT on 16 m. Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad and dispatches it about 2 weeks after a cleared order with PO.
Weighed at loading and at the gate? Keep your own record of every trip.
- Your own check on every tripA stamped weighbridge to compare with the gate slip.
- Built for slag and scrapConcrete (RCC) for heavy, abrasive by-product loads.
- Sealed for the coastIP67/IP68 load cells, sealed junction boxes and good paint against salt air.
Who needs one in Hazira: Steel-making with its coils, plates, slag and mill scale; heavy engineering and fabrication; petrochemicals, gas processing and fertilisers; the LNG terminal; port cargo such as coal, fertiliser, steel and containers; scrap and by-product traders; transport fleets, container yards and truck parking; and construction suppliers serving the plants.
Also called a dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा), truck scale or weigh bridge. We also serve Ichchhapore, Mora, Bhatpore, Kawas.

Port and steel transporters
The same truck is weighed at loading and at the gate, and any shortage can be charged to the transporter.
Our setup: An 80–100 MT, 18 m weighbridge in the fleet's own yard, stamped, with SMFW trip records.
Slag, mill-scale and scrap traders
Heavy, abrasive loads sold by weight leave dust and residue on the platform.
Our setup: A 60–80 MT, 16–18 m concrete (RCC) weighbridge, with a 25-year structural warranty on the RCC (T&C).
Container yards and truck terminals
Trailers come and go round the clock, often with no clerk at the gate at night.
Our setup: An 18 m weighbridge with the unmanned option: RFID, cameras and a boom barrier.

Concrete for slag, sealed for salt air: a weighbridge for the Hazira coast.
At Hazira the same truck is often weighed more than once: at the loading point, at the plant or port gate, and at the transporter's own weighbridge. When the figures differ, a shortage can be charged to someone, so transporters and traders here want their own stamped weighbridge as a check against the weights charged to them. A Class III weighbridge to OIML R76 with a printed SMFW slip carrying the vehicle number, party, trip, date and time gives the transporter a record to compare with the plant's slip, and it lets the fleet load each truck within its permitted gross weight before it leaves. By-products are the other big trade: slag, mill scale and scrap are sold by weight in tipper loads; they are heavy and abrasive and leave dust and wet residue on the platform, so a concrete (RCC) or steel-cum-RCC weighbridge suits them, and the RCC carries a 25-year structural warranty (T&C). Coils and plates come on long trailers, so an 18 m platform takes the whole vehicle in one weighing. The belt lies on the coast, where salt air and humidity work on steel and electronics: choose sealed IP67/IP68 load cells and junction boxes, keep the paint in good repair, and mount the indicator in a closed cabin. Confirm the foundation from a soil check on this low coastal ground. Fleets that weigh round the clock can add the unmanned option with RFID, cameras and a boom barrier. Symphony gives stamping support for Legal Metrology verification.

Soil check to stamping support: a Hazira weighbridge, step by step.
Six steps for your project in Hazira. Most of the waiting is the foundation curing, so the drawing comes first.
- 1 · Your traffic in HaziraTell us the heaviest vehicle you weigh (here, typically trailers, multi-axle tippers), the space at the gate and the daily count. An engineer replies within one working day.
- 2 · Size and quotationOur usual starting point (port or steel transporter yard): 80–100 MT, 18 m weighbridge, Pit-less steel or steel-cum-RCC. The quotation comes with the foundation drawing.
- 3 · Foundation on siteYour civil contractor builds the concrete pedestals to our drawing; we can check the levels before the weighbridge arrives.
- 4 · Fabrication and dispatchBuilt and tested in our Ahmedabad workshop; dispatch in about 2 weeks from a commercially cleared order with PO, then delivered and placed on your foundation.
- 5 · Installation and calibrationWeighbridge placed, load cells and indicator connected and calibrated, SMFW stored tares set up (RFID, cameras and boom barrier where ordered), and Legal Metrology verification supported.
- 6 · AMC and serviceAMC, breakdown visits, calibration and annual re-verification support from our technical desk, so the weighbridge stays accurate for years.
