Navsari weighbridges for orchards and cane yards.
Navsari district is orchard country in south Gujarat: chikoo (sapota) from Gandevi and Amalsad and mangoes from Chikhli and Bilimora leave by the truckload, the sugar co-operative at Gandevi crushes cane through the winter, and the Navsari GIDC adds engineering and processing units. Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा) across Navsari, Bilimora, Gandevi and Chikhli.
For a Navsari chikoo or mango trader, a 30–40 MT pit-less weighbridge with a 9–12 m deck weighs fruit trucks and tempos at low cost; a sugar co-operative cane yard needs a 16–18 m deck of 40–60 MT so a tractor and both trolleys weigh in one go. Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad.
Mango and cane seasons do not wait for a late kanta.
- Ready before the seasonDispatch is about 2 weeks from a commercially cleared order with PO, so order ahead of the mango or crushing season and leave time for installation and stamping.
- Raised above monsoon waterPit-less decks on raised pedestals with sealed IP67/IP68 load cells for low, wet sites.
- Right-sized for fruitA 30–40 MT, 9–12 m deck serves tempos and small trucks at a lower cost than a highway-size weighbridge.
Who needs one in Navsari: Chikoo (sapota) and mango orchards, fruit trading and packing in Bilimora, Gandevi and Amalsad, the Gandevi sugar co-operative and its cane yard, engineering, plastics and food units in the GIDC estate, and sand, grit and stone dealers serving construction.
Also called a dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा), truck scale or weigh bridge. We also serve Bilimora, Gandevi, Chikhli, Jalalpore, Amalsad.
Chikoo, mango, cane and factories.
Chikoo and mango traders
Fruit is bought from orchards and sold to wholesale markets by weight in short, busy seasons, and tempos and small trucks do most of the hauling.
Our setup: A stamped 30–40 MT, 9–12 m pit-less deck on raised pedestals, installed before the season.
The Gandevi cane yard
Through the crushing season, tractors with two trolleys and trucks queue at the yard, and every farmer is paid on the cane weight.
Our setup: A 16–18 m, 40–60 MT pit-less deck, so the whole tractor train weighs in one go.
GIDC units and building material
Engineering and plastics units weigh raw material in and goods out, while sand, grit and stone dealers sell by the tipper load.
Our setup: A 40–60 MT, 12–16 m deck: pit-less steel for factories, concrete (RCC) for tippers.

Orchard lanes and monsoon water: plan the deck before the rains.
South Gujarat gets heavy monsoon rain from June to September and the low orchard belt waterlogs quickly, so a pit-less deck on raised pedestals with a drain at the approach is safer than a pit. The fruit trade runs on seasons: mango in May and June, chikoo through much of the year, so a trader's kanta should be installed and stamped before the season starts. Tempos and small trucks carry most of the fruit, so a 30–40 MT, 9–12 m deck is often enough. Cane arrives from about November to April in tractors pulling two trolleys and in trucks; a 16–18 m deck keeps the whole tractor train on the platform for one weighing, and separate approach lanes for loaded and empty vehicles keep the queue moving. Humid coastal air calls for sealed IP67/IP68 load cells and well-painted steel, or a concrete (RCC) deck.

From the orchard tempo to the farmer's slip.
Six steps for your project in Navsari. Most of the waiting is the foundation curing, so the drawing comes first.
- 1 · Your traffic in NavsariTell us the heaviest vehicle you weigh (here, typically tempos, small trucks), the space at the gate and the daily count. An engineer replies within one working day.
- 2 · Size and quotationOur usual starting point (chikoo / mango trader, packing house): 30–40 MT, 9–12 m deck, Pit-less steel on raised pedestals. The quotation comes with the foundation drawing.
- 3 · Foundation on siteYour civil contractor builds the concrete pedestals to our drawing; we can check the levels before the deck arrives.
- 4 · Fabrication and dispatchBuilt and tested in our Ahmedabad workshop; dispatch in about 2 weeks from a commercially cleared order with PO, then delivered and placed on your foundation.
- 5 · Installation and calibrationDeck placed, load cells and indicator connected and calibrated, slip printing set up, and Legal Metrology verification supported.
- 6 · AMC and serviceAMC, breakdown visits, calibration and annual re-verification support from our technical desk, so the weighbridge stays accurate for years.
