Two kinds of truck decide the deck in Dhule. Long-haul trailers on the two national highways are long and often loaded to their registered gross vehicle weight, so a public kanta needs an 18 m deck and the capacity for the heaviest of them, plus a wide, paved apron so a trailer can turn in from the service road and drive straight on. Kapas trucks in the ginning season are the opposite: cotton is bulky and light, loaded high and often overhanging the body, so the deck must clear the whole load and every axle, and length matters more than tonnes. Summer in Khandesh is very hot, so shade the indicator, keep the operator cabin ventilated, and choose sealed IP67/IP68 load cells, because cotton fluff and dust settle in every gap; a pit-less deck with open sides is easy to sweep clean. Lint in the gap around the deck can bridge it to the frame, so clean it daily during the season.
