Vithal Udyognagar weighbridges for machine shops, fabricators and shared kantas.
Vithal Udyognagar, the GIDC estate beside Vallabh Vidyanagar in Anand district, is one of the Charotar region's long-established engineering estates: machine shops, fabricators, gear and material-handling equipment makers, plastics moulders and food processors, many of them family-run units that grew up alongside the dairy economy of Anand. Many of its smaller units share a public dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा) rather than keep one of their own. Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta for units, transporters and kanta owners across Vithal Udyognagar.
In Vithal Udyognagar, a stamped 60 MT weighbridge (dharam kanta) with a 16 m deck serves the many small units that share one kanta; a fabricator dispatching long structures needs 18 m, and a machine shop selling turnings can manage with 30–40 MT on a 9–12 m deck. Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad.
Many small units, one stamped slip.
- One kanta, many unitsA stamped kanta with numbered SMFW slips gives every unit that shares it a figure both sides accept.
- Long loads in one passAn 18 m deck weighs a trailer carrying a long fabricated structure with every axle on the platform.
- Turnings sold by the tonneSealed IP67/IP68 load cells and a drained deck handle oily, wet turnings and scrap.
Who needs one in Vithal Udyognagar GIDC: Machine shops and job-work units, structural and plate fabricators, gear, gearbox and material-handling equipment makers, plastics moulding and packaging, food and agro processing, and the transporters who serve them.
Also called a dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा), truck scale or weigh bridge. We also serve Vallabh Vidyanagar, Anand, Karamsad, Mogri.

Public dharam kanta operators
Small units, transporters and traders all use the same kanta, and a single disputed slip costs the kanta its customers.
Our setup: A stamped 60 MT, 16 m pit-less deck with SMFW slips carrying the party name, vehicle number and serial number, plus an AMC visit before each re-verification.
Fabricators and equipment makers
Long structures and equipment frames leave on trailers, and freight and the vehicle's registered gross vehicle weight (GVW) both depend on the loaded figure.
Our setup: An 18 m deck of 60–80 MT; for frames that overhang even 18 m, plan the load or the deck length before dispatch, because a part-on weighment is not valid for trade.
Machine shops and job-work units
Steel and cast-iron turnings are sold by the tonne, and the scrap buyer's weight is often the only figure the unit sees.
Our setup: A compact 30–40 MT deck of 9–12 m with sealed IP67/IP68 load cells and a drained surface, so the shop weighs its own turnings before they are sold.

Vithal Udyognagar is an estate of many small units rather than a few large plants. A machine shop, a fabricator and a plastics moulder may share one public dharam kanta, so that kanta must be stamped, must print a numbered slip with the party name, and must give a figure every buyer and seller accepts. Fabricators send out long structures and equipment frames on trailers, and a load that hangs past the deck cannot be weighed in one pass, so a 16–18 m deck is worth the extra length. Checking the loaded weight before a truck leaves also keeps it within the vehicle's registered gross vehicle weight (GVW). Machine shops sell steel and cast-iron turnings by the tonne; turnings often carry coolant and oil, so keep the deck surface drained and the load cells sealed (IP67/IP68). The estate's internal roads are narrow, so plan a straight approach of at least the deck length on both sides before choosing the plot.

From your truck count to a stamped slip.
Six steps for your project in Vithal Udyognagar GIDC. Most of the waiting is the foundation curing, so the drawing comes first.
- 1 · Your traffic in Vithal Udyognagar GIDCTell us the heaviest vehicle you weigh (here, typically tempos, 2–3 axle trucks, trailers), the space at the gate and the daily count. An engineer replies within one working day.
- 2 · Size and quotationOur usual starting point (public dharam kanta for the estate): 60 MT, 16 m deck, Pit-less steel, stamped. The quotation comes with the foundation drawing.
- 3 · Foundation on siteYour civil contractor builds the concrete pedestals to our drawing; we can check the levels before the deck arrives.
- 4 · Fabrication and dispatchBuilt and tested in our Ahmedabad workshop; dispatch in about 2 weeks from a commercially cleared order with PO, then delivered and placed on your foundation.
- 5 · Installation and calibrationDeck placed, load cells and indicator connected and calibrated, slip printing set up, and Legal Metrology verification supported.
- 6 · AMC and serviceAMC, breakdown visits, calibration and annual re-verification support from our technical desk, so the weighbridge stays accurate for years.
