Abu Road weighbridges for stone blocks and slabs.
Abu Road, at the foot of Mount Abu in Sirohi district, is where Gujarat and Rajasthan trade meet: marble and granite cutting units, the RIICO industrial area, a busy railway station, and the limestone and cement belt around Pindwara. Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा / tol kanta) supply and service across Sirohi district.
For an Abu Road stone unit, the deck must take heavy block trailers and keep gang-saw slurry off the load cells: an 80–100 MT, 16–18 m RCC or reinforced steel deck with a drained surround; limestone tippers in the Pindwara belt need 80 MT on a 12–16 m RCC deck, and mandi traders a stamped 60 MT, 16 m kanta. Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad.
Stone is bought by the block, so weigh it on a stamped kanta.
- Headroom for stone blocks80–100 MT decks with sealed IP67/IP68 load cells, so a heavy block trailer stays well inside the capacity.
- Slurry kept off the load cellsRaised pedestals and a drained surround keep gang-saw slurry and monsoon water away from the electronics.
- Slips that hold up in tradeStamped Class III (OIML R76) weighing with SMFW slips for every block bought and every slab lot sold.
Who needs one in Abu Road: Marble and granite cutting and polishing units, the RIICO industrial area at Abu Road, limestone mining and cement production around Pindwara, grain trade at the Sirohi district mandis, goods traffic at Abu Road railway station, and supplies for Mount Abu.
Also called a dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा), truck scale or weigh bridge. We also serve Sirohi, Pindwara, Reodar, Sheoganj, Swaroopganj.
Stone, limestone and mandi trade.
Marble and granite units
Blocks come in by the tonne and slabs go out in lots; the margin is in the difference, so both ends should be weighed on the same stamped kanta.
Our setup: An 80–100 MT, 16–18 m RCC or reinforced steel deck, a drained surround for slurry, and SMFW slips that carry the block or lot number.
Limestone and cement belt (Pindwara)
Tippers run from the mine face to crushers and kilns all day; overloading and hard braking punish a light deck, and dispatch weights feed royalty and transport records.
Our setup: An 80 MT concrete (RCC) deck of 12–16 m, sealed IP67/IP68 load cells and a printed slip for every trip; unmanned weighing with RFID and a boom barrier for round-the-clock shifts.
Mandis, transporters and Mount Abu supply
Grain traders settle on weight, and transporters carrying supplies for Mount Abu want a quick, trusted slip.
Our setup: A 60 MT, 16 m pit-less public kanta, stamped for trade, with slip printing; 40 MT on a 12 m deck if only tractors and small trucks come in.

Heavy blocks, wet slurry: build the deck for both.
Stone units weigh blocks in and slabs out, and the two loads are very different. A raw block puts its whole weight on a few axles of a block trailer, so the deck and load cells need capacity headroom; finished slabs leave on racks in smaller lots. A concrete (RCC) or reinforced steel deck takes the concentrated load, and sealed IP67/IP68 load cells keep out the stone dust and slurry of cutting and polishing. Wet slurry from the gang saws should drain away from the deck, never across it, so the surround and drain are drawn into the foundation plan. Limestone tippers in the Pindwara belt need the same heavy-duty build, while mandi traders mainly need a stamped kanta and clear printed slips.

From block trailer to stamped slip.
Six steps for your project in Abu Road. Most of the waiting is the foundation curing, so the drawing comes first.
- 1 · Your traffic in Abu RoadTell us the heaviest vehicle you weigh (here, typically block trailers, multi-axle trucks), the space at the gate and the daily count. An engineer replies within one working day.
- 2 · Size and quotationOur usual starting point (marble / granite cutting unit): 80–100 MT, 16–18 m deck, Concrete (RCC) or reinforced steel. The quotation comes with the foundation drawing.
- 3 · Foundation on siteYour civil contractor builds the concrete pedestals to our drawing; we can check the levels before the deck arrives.
- 4 · Fabrication and dispatchBuilt and tested in our Ahmedabad workshop; dispatch in about 2 weeks from a commercially cleared order with PO, then delivered and placed on your foundation.
- 5 · Installation and calibrationDeck placed, load cells and indicator connected and calibrated, slip printing set up, and Legal Metrology verification supported.
- 6 · AMC and serviceAMC, breakdown visits, calibration and annual re-verification support from our technical desk, so the weighbridge stays accurate for years.
