Soft alluvium and summer heat: build it level, keep it shaded.
Most of Agra stands on soft Yamuna alluvium: sandy, silty soil that settles if a foundation is rushed. Have the soil checked, and build the pedestals or pit on a compacted base to our drawing, so the weighbridge stays level year after year. The second thing to plan is the spring rush. In February and March the potato harvest arrives at the cold storages all at once, by tractor-trolley and truck, and a weighbridge that worked fine in October suddenly has a queue on the road. Give it a long, straight approach with space for loaded vehicles to wait off the road, and keep stored tares for regular trucks, so each one weighs in and out quickly. Summers are very hot, with dust storms in May and June, so put the indicator and the computer in a shaded cabin and keep the gap round the weighbridge clear of blown sand. Sealed IP67/IP68 load cells handle both the dust and the monsoon rain.
