Chhindwara weighbridges for maize mandis, coal trucks and Lehgadua units.
Chhindwara, on the Satpura plateau of southern Madhya Pradesh, is maize country: the district is one of the state's largest maize growers, and the Krishi Upaj Mandis at Chhindwara, Amarwara and Chaurai trade maize, soybean, wheat, gram and tur. The Pench–Kanhan coalfields around Parasia, Junnardeo and Damua load coal all year, potatoes and vegetables leave the plateau villages by the truckload, and the Lehgadua industrial area (MPIDC) with its spice park and the Imlikhedi industrial area hold processing and manufacturing units. Since 2023 the Pandhurna and Sausar tehsils form their own district, so this page covers the Chhindwara district of today. Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा / tol kanta) across Chhindwara district.
A Chhindwara maize or soybean trader usually needs a 40–60 MT, 12–16 m pit-less steel weighbridge stamped for trade; a coal transporter or washery 80–100 MT on 18 m in concrete (RCC), a stone crusher 80 MT on 12–16 m in RCC; a Lehgadua or Imlikhedi unit 60 MT on 16–18 m; a public weighbridge 60–100 MT on 16–18 m (dharam kanta). Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad and dispatches it about 2 weeks after a commercially cleared order with PO.

Maize traders, coal transporters and processing units across Chhindwara district.
Maize and soybean traders
Maize comes in two seasons and is bought by weight after the moisture check, and the grower is paid on the slip the same day.
Our setup: A 40–60 MT, 12–16 m stamped pit-less steel weighbridge with SMFW slips by grower and lot and a day-wise arrival report.
Coal transporters, washeries and depots
Trailers from the Parasia and Junnardeo mines run loaded to the limit through coal dust, and each load must match the dispatch challan.
Our setup: An 80–100 MT, 18 m concrete (RCC) weighbridge with sealed IP67/IP68 load cells and a stamped slip for every load.
Potato and vegetable traders
Potatoes and vegetables leave the plateau in pick-ups and small trucks for markets in other states, and the buyer pays on the net weight loaded.
Our setup: A 30–40 MT, 9–12 m stamped pit-less steel weighbridge with gross, tare and net on every slip.

Satpura rock, black soil and the maize rush: sizing a Chhindwara weighbridge.
Maize is the load that fills Chhindwara's mandis. From October the kharif crop comes to Chhindwara, Amarwara and Chaurai in tractor-trolleys and 10-wheel trucks, is bought by weight after the moisture check, and goes to starch, feed and seed buyers by the truckload, so a trader needs a 40–60 MT, 12–16 m platform and an SMFW slip that carries the grower, lot and vehicle number; a second maize crop in the rabi season and soybean in October keep the same weighbridge busy, so plan stamping and re-verification before the harvest. Coal is the other trade. Trucks and trailers from the Pench–Kanhan mines around Parasia, Junnardeo and Damua run loaded to the limit towards the power plants and the Nagpur side, and a transporter, washery or depot that weighs them should have 80–100 MT on 18 m in concrete (RCC), with sealed IP67/IP68 load cells, because coal dust settles into every gap and the RCC top has no paint to wear through under tipper traffic. Stone crushers and sand suppliers on the Pench and Kanhan rivers run tippers through the same kind of grit, and the same 80 MT RCC build suits them. At Lehgadua and Imlikhedi, raw material comes in and finished goods go out on 10-wheel trucks and trailers, so 60 MT on 16–18 m at the gate, with the unmanned option (RFID, cameras, boom barrier) where trucks move at night, keeps a record of every vehicle. The ground decides the foundation: much of the plateau is black cotton soil over basalt, which swells in the monsoon and shrinks in summer, so pedestals are taken down to firm strata and the approaches drained to our drawing, while plots in the Satpura hills towards Tamia and Junnardeo can sit on rock that needs cutting before the pedestals are cast. The monsoon is heavy, so keep the indicator cabin and junction box above flood level and the cables in closed conduits. Potato and vegetable traders load pick-ups and small trucks, and a 30–40 MT, 9–12 m weighbridge is enough for them.
