Niwari weighbridges for groundnut mandis, quarries and cold storages.
Niwari, the smallest district of Madhya Pradesh by area, lies in Bundelkhand on the Betwa, where the Uttar Pradesh border and the Jhansi market shape its trade. It is a district of groundnut and wheat mandis at Niwari and Prithvipur, stone quarries and crushers in the Pratappura and Bhojpura belt of Orchha tehsil, grit and building-material yards that supply builders on both sides of the state line, the temple and palace town of Orchha with its hotels and resorts, and farm villages that grow groundnut, wheat, urad, til and soybean. Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा / tol kanta) across Niwari district.
A groundnut or wheat trader at the Niwari or Prithvipur mandi usually needs a 40–60 MT, 12–16 m pit-less steel weighbridge stamped for trade, long enough for a tractor and its loaded trolley; a stone crusher at Pratappura or Bhojpura 60–80 MT on 16–18 m, or 80–100 MT in concrete (RCC) where multi-axle trailers load; a cold storage, warehouse or oil expeller 40–60 MT on 12–16 m; a brick kiln or builder's yard 30–40 MT on 9–12 m; a public weighbridge on the Jhansi–Khajuraho road 60–100 MT on 16–18 m (dharam kanta). Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad and dispatches it about 2 weeks after a commercially cleared order with PO.
Pods by the trolley, grit by the tipper, grain by the quintal: a stamped slip at every Niwari gate.
- Pods in, kernels outOne expeller gate, separate SMFW reports, one stamped weight.
- Rock under shallow soilPedestals on rock, plinth above the Betwa flood line.
- Granite dust at the crusherSealed cells, a swept gap, night loading unmanned.
Who needs one in Niwari: Groundnut, wheat, urad, til, soybean and mustard traders and commission agents at the Niwari and Prithvipur Krishi Upaj Mandis; groundnut decorticating units and oil expellers; stone quarries and stone crushers at Pratappura and Bhojpura; grit, sand and building-material suppliers; brick kilns; warehouses and cold storages at Niwari; dairy collection centres; hotels, resorts and construction contractors at Orchha; transporters on the Jhansi–Khajuraho and Jhansi–Tikamgarh roads; public dharam kanta operators.
Also called a dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा), truck scale or weigh bridge. We also serve Orchha, Prithvipur, Tarichar Kalan, Tehrka, Jeron Khalsa.

Groundnut traders and oil expellers
Pods come off the fields from October in heaped trolleys that are bulky but light, the trader pays the grower on that weight, and the expeller later pays for kernels, oil and cake that look nothing like the load that came in.
Our setup: A 40–60 MT, 12–16 m pit-less steel weighbridge, stamped, with SMFW reports that keep pods-in by grower and lot and kernels, oil and cake out by buyer, so the shelling and crushing yield is checked lot by lot.
Stone crushers at Pratappura and Bhojpura
Grit and stone leave on tippers and trailers at the legal limit from dawn to late night, the builder on the Jhansi side weighs again, and granite dust settles on every surface in the yard.
Our setup: A 60–80 MT pit-less steel weighbridge on 16–18 m, or 80–100 MT in concrete (RCC) where trailers load, with sealed IP67/IP68 load cells, the gap around the platform swept each shift because granite fines are abrasive, the unmanned option (RFID, cameras, boom barrier) for night loading and SMFW reports by material, vehicle and shift.
Cold storages and warehouses at Niwari
Groundnut, wheat and seed come in by the trolley and truck in the harvest weeks and go out in part-loads over the year, and the storage charges by the quintal on the way in and the way out.
Our setup: A 40–60 MT, 12–16 m pit-less steel weighbridge, stamped, with stored tares for the regular vehicles and SMFW slips by depositor, lot and chamber.

Shallow rock, the Betwa flood line and granite dust: building a weighbridge in Niwari.
A Niwari weighbridge is built around two harvests and one quarry belt. Groundnut comes off the fields from October and reaches the Niwari and Prithvipur mandis in tractor-trolleys of loose pods and in trucks of bags, urad and til arrive in the same weeks, and wheat follows from March, so a commission agent's platform is busy from Diwali to Holi and again in the rabi weeks; a 40–60 MT, 12–16 m pit-less steel weighbridge takes a tractor and its trolley in one weighing and SMFW prints the grower, lot and variety on every slip. A decorticating unit or oil expeller weighs pods in and kernels, oil and cake out, and keeps them as separate reports so the shelling and crushing yield can be checked lot by lot; book stamping or the annual re-verification in September so the certificate is in hand before the groundnut arrivals. The ground in Bundelkhand is shallow soil over granite and gneiss: the red rakar and mixed kabar soils give way to rock within a metre or two, so the pedestals bear on rock with little excavation, but the kabar patches swell and crack with the seasons and the Betwa rises in a wet August, so the plinth sits above the flood line and the apron is cast wide and drained. In the Pratappura and Bhojpura quarry belt the tippers leave at the legal limit all day and the granite dust is abrasive, so the crusher gate takes a 60–80 MT, 16–18 m pit-less steel weighbridge, or an 80–100 MT concrete (RCC) weighbridge where multi-axle trailers load, with sealed IP67/IP68 load cells, the gap around the platform swept every shift because granite fines are abrasive, and the unmanned option (RFID, cameras, boom barrier) for a yard that loads through the night. Trucks from the Uttar Pradesh side cross for stone, grain and groundnut every day, so a public weighbridge on the Jhansi–Khajuraho or Jhansi–Tikamgarh road is built to 18 m for the longest multi-axle trailer and prints a slip that transporters from either state accept. May in Niwari passes 45 °C and the power supply in the villages is uneven, so the cabin is shaded and ventilated, the indicator and printer run on a UPS, the cables leave the plate in closed conduit, and the test-weight calibration is booked for the early morning, before the steel expands in the sun.
