Chhatarpur weighbridges for granite units, mineral mines and grain mandis.
Chhatarpur, in the Bundelkhand country of northern Madhya Pradesh between the Dhasan and the Ken, is a district of granite, mineral mines, grain mandis and the Khajuraho tourist trade. Granite quarries, cutting and polishing units and stone crushers work the Bundelkhand rock around Bijawar, Bada Malhera, Ghuwara and the Sagar road; pyrophyllite and diaspore move from the mines of the Bijawar and Bada Malhera belt to the refractory and ceramic trade; the Krishi Upaj Mandis at Chhatarpur, Nowgong, Harpalpur, Bijawar, Laundi, Bada Malhera and Rajnagar take wheat, gram, soybean, urad, til, mustard, groundnut and peas; dal mills and oil expellers process them; the paan gardens of Maharajpur and Chhatarpur send betel leaf to markets across north India; and trucks run to the Uttar Pradesh side on the Mahoba, Banda and Jhansi roads every day of the season. Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा / tol kanta) across Chhatarpur district.
A granite cutting unit or a stone crusher in Chhatarpur, Bijawar or Bada Malhera usually takes a 16–18 m weighbridge of 60–100 MT, pit-less steel or concrete (RCC), stamped for trade and rated for block trailers and loaded tippers; a pyrophyllite or diaspore mine 80–100 MT on 18 m with IP67/IP68 sealed load cells against the mineral dust; a mandi commission agent at Chhatarpur, Nowgong or Harpalpur 40–60 MT on 12–16 m so the tractor and its heaped gram or wheat trolley are read together; a dal mill or an oil expeller 40–60 MT on 12–16 m with SMFW reports by lot; a warehouse, a dairy or a betel-leaf trader 30–40 MT on 9–12 m; a public weighbridge on the Jhansi, Sagar or Mahoba road 60–100 MT on 16–18 m (dharam kanta). Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad and dispatches it about 2 weeks after a commercially cleared order with PO.

Granite units, mines, mandi traders and dal mills across Chhatarpur district.
Granite units and mineral mines
Granite blocks leave Bijawar and Bada Malhera on trailers with the whole load on a few axles, polished slabs go out by the truck, and pyrophyllite and diaspore leave the mines by the loaded tipper for refractory and ceramic buyers who pay by grade and by the tonne.
Our setup: A 60–100 MT, 16–18 m weighbridge in pit-less steel or concrete (RCC), stamped, built for the axle load, with IP67/IP68 sealed load cells against the stone and mineral dust and SMFW reports by grade, party and vehicle.
Mandi commission agents and dal mills
Soybean, urad, til and groundnut come heaped on tractor-trolleys to the Chhatarpur, Nowgong and Harpalpur yards from October, wheat, gram and peas from March, and the dal mill lives on the yield between gram-in and dal-out.
Our setup: A pit-less steel weighbridge of 40–60 MT on 12–16 m, stamped, long enough to read the tractor and its trolley as one, with SMFW keeping grain-in and dal, chuni and husk-out as separate reports and stored tares for the regular trucks.
Betel-leaf traders and warehouses
Paan leaves the Maharajpur gardens by the basket and the small truck for markets across north India, and grain waits in the warehouses between the mandi and the mill, so small loads are paid and released by weight all year.
Our setup: A 30–40 MT, 9–12 m pit-less steel weighbridge, stamped, with SMFW tying each slip to the grower, the lot and the date and a stored tare for the trader's own vehicles.

Rock on the ridges, kabar clay in the flats, 46 °C and a short monsoon: the ground a Chhatarpur weighbridge stands on.
Chhatarpur weighs rock in one half of the district and grain in the other, and the weighbridge follows the trade. Granite leaves the quarries and cutting units around Bijawar, Bada Malhera and Ghuwara as blocks on multi-axle trailers and as slabs and polished tiles on trucks, and the crushers along the Sagar and Jhansi roads load grit and dust for the building trade and the road works; a block trailer puts its whole load on a few axles, so the stone unit's weighbridge is 60–100 MT on 16–18 m, in pit-less steel or concrete (RCC), built for the axle load, and an RCC top takes the swept grit without wearing. Pyrophyllite and diaspore are the other rock: the mines of the Bijawar and Bada Malhera belt send the mineral out by the loaded 10-wheel truck and the tipper to the refractory and ceramic buyers, dense and dusty, so the mine's platform is 80–100 MT on 18 m with IP67/IP68 sealed load cells, stored tares for the regular trucks and SMFW reports by grade and buyer. The mandi half runs on the Bundelkhand calendar: kharif soybean, urad, til and groundnut reach the Chhatarpur, Nowgong, Harpalpur and Laundi yards from October in tractor-trolleys heaped above the side boards, and wheat, gram, peas, masoor and mustard follow from March, when the Rajnagar, Bijawar, Maharajpur and Bada Malhera yards queue to the gate; a commission agent's pit-less steel weighbridge of 40–60 MT on 12–16 m reads the tractor and its trolley together, and a dal mill keeps gram-in and dal, chuni and husk-out as separate SMFW reports so the milling yield is checked lot by lot. Betel leaf moves the other way, by the basket and the small truck from the paan gardens of Maharajpur to the markets, and a trader's 30–40 MT platform on 9–12 m pays the grower on a stamped weight. The ground is Bundelkhand granite and gneiss under rakar gravel and parua soil on the ridges and the darker kabar and mar clays in the flats, with the Vindhyan sandstone hills of the Bijawar side: on the ridges and the hills the pedestals sit on rock within a metre, while in the kabar flats the black clay opens in the heat and closes in the rains, so the pedestals are carried below that moving band and the approaches are given a fall to a drain. The Bundelkhand monsoon is short and heavy, so a pit-type weighbridge in a clay yard needs a sump and a pump-out and a pit-less platform on raised pedestals is the usual choice; May and June pass 46 °C, so the cabin gets a shade roof, the cables leave the platform in closed conduit and the test weights go on before the sun is high. Trucks run to the Mahoba, Banda and Jhansi side every day of the season, so a public weighbridge on those roads weighs Uttar Pradesh multi-axle trucks as often as Bundelkhand trolleys, and 60–100 MT on 16–18 m is the size that serves both. Book Legal Metrology stamping or the annual re-verification in February, so the certificate hangs in the cabin before the first gram trolley queues at Nowgong in March.
