Sri Ganganagar weighbridges for cotton gins, kinnow pack-houses and grain mandis.
Sri Ganganagar, at the northern tip of Rajasthan where the Gang Canal and the Indira Gandhi Canal turn the desert into wheat, cotton and kinnow country, is a district of grain mandis, cotton gins and fruit pack-houses. The Krishi Upaj Mandis at Sri Ganganagar, Padampur, Raisinghnagar, Anupgarh, Suratgarh, Sadulshahar, Sri Karanpur and Gharsana take wheat, narma cotton, mustard, gram, barley, guar and paddy; ginning and pressing factories and cottonseed oil mills work the kapas from October; kinnow orchards around Sri Ganganagar, Padampur and Sri Karanpur send fruit through grading and waxing plants from November; a sugar mill crushes the district's cane; rice shellers, flour mills and guar gum units line the canal towns; and the RIICO industrial area at Sri Ganganagar holds processing, engineering and agricultural-implement units. Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा / tol kanta) across Sri Ganganagar district.
A cotton gin in Sri Ganganagar or Padampur is usually served by a 40–60 MT pit-less steel weighbridge on 14–16 m, stamped for trade and long enough to take the tractor and its heaped narma trolley in one reading; a mandi commission agent 40–60 MT on 12–16 m; a kinnow pack-house or a cold storage 30–40 MT on 9–12 m; a rice sheller, a guar gum unit or an oil mill 60 MT on 16 m with SMFW records by lot; the sugar mill cane yard or a RIICO plant 60–100 MT on 16–18 m with the unmanned option (RFID, cameras, boom barrier); a public weighbridge on the Abohar or Hanumangarh road 60–100 MT on 16–18 m (dharam kanta). Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad and dispatches it about 2 weeks after a commercially cleared order with PO.

Cotton gins and oil mills
Narma kapas comes heaped from October, leaves as 170 kg bales and binola, and the seed goes on to the oil mill as oil and khal, so three weights have to agree across two gates.
Our setup: A 40–60 MT, 14–16 m pit-less steel weighbridge at the gin and a 60 MT, 16 m one at the oil mill, stamped, with SMFW keeping kapas-in, bales-out and seed-out, and seed-in and oil-and-khal-out, as separate reports with stored tares.
Kinnow pack-houses and cold storages
Fruit comes by the pick-up and the small truck from November, is graded and waxed, waits in the cold store and leaves on refrigerated trucks for markets across the country, and the grower is paid on the weight at the gate.
Our setup: A 30–40 MT, 9–12 m pit-less steel weighbridge, stamped, with IP67/IP68 sealed load cells and SMFW slips by grower, lot and date, so the fruit that goes out weeks later is matched to the weight that came in.
Sugar mill cane yard and RIICO plants
Cane trolleys queue past the gate from November to April, and the RIICO plants take raw material on 40-foot trailers and send finished goods out on three shifts, so the gate must clear without a clerk and every weight must tie to a gate pass.
Our setup: A 60–100 MT, 16–18 m weighbridge in pit-less steel or concrete (RCC), stamped, with the unmanned option (RFID, cameras, boom barrier), stored tares for regular trolleys and trailers and SMFW reports by party, material and shift.

Canal loam that waterlogs, desert dust at 47 °C and winter frost: building a weighbridge in Sri Ganganagar.
Sri Ganganagar weighs something in every month, so the weighbridge is sized for the heaviest season and kept busy through the rest. Narma kapas comes heaped on tractor-trolleys to the gins of Sri Ganganagar, Padampur and Raisinghnagar from October, and a gin's 40–60 MT, 14–16 m pit-less steel weighbridge takes the tractor and its trolley together, weighs the 170 kg bales out and books the binola to the oil mill, so SMFW keeps kapas-in, bales-out and seed-out as three reports. Kinnow follows from November: the orchards around Sri Ganganagar, Sri Karanpur and Padampur send fruit by the pick-up and the small truck to the grading and waxing lines, and a 30–40 MT, 9–12 m platform at the pack-house gate pays the grower on a stamped weight and loads the refrigerated trucks for the markets by the same slip. Wheat is the flood: in April and May the Sri Ganganagar, Padampur, Suratgarh and Anupgarh yards are lined with trolleys and the procurement centres weigh day and night, and mustard, gram and barley go through the same gates in March and April, so a commission agent's platform is the busiest weighbridge in the district for eight weeks and every slip carries the grower, the lot and the vehicle. Paddy off the Gang Canal villages reaches the rice shellers from October, guar goes to the gum units after the kharif, and cane goes to the sugar mill yard from November to April on trolleys and trucks that queue past the gate, so the cane yard and the larger RIICO plants take 60–100 MT on 16–18 m with the unmanned option (RFID, cameras, boom barrier). The ground is canal-irrigated sandy loam that bears well but holds water: the Gang Canal and the Indira Gandhi Canal commands have low pockets that waterlog and turn saline, so the pedestals go on compacted ground above the seepage line, the plinth stands above the yard, and a pit-type weighbridge gets a sump and a pump-out or gives way to a pit-less platform. May and June pass 47 °C with dust storms off the desert, so the cabin is shaded, the junction box and the cable glands are sealed against the dust and the test-weight calibration is done early in the morning; December and January bring dense fog and frost, so the indicator sits in a dry cabin. Trucks from the Punjab side at Abohar and Fazilka and the Haryana side at Sirsa cross the district every day, so a public weighbridge on the Abohar or Hanumangarh road is sized for multi-axle trucks at 60–100 MT on 16–18 m. Book Legal Metrology stamping or the annual re-verification in March, so the certificate is in hand before the wheat arrives.

Padampur gin gate to stamped narma slip: the Sri Ganganagar project in six steps.
Six steps for your project in Sri Ganganagar. Most of the waiting is the foundation curing, so the drawing comes first.
- 1 · Your traffic in Sri GanganagarTell us the heaviest vehicle you weigh (here, typically heaped kapas trolleys, bale trucks), the space at the gate and the daily count. An engineer replies within one working day.
- 2 · Size and quotationOur usual starting point (cotton ginning and pressing factory, Sri Ganganagar or Padampur): 40–60 MT, 14–16 m weighbridge, Pit-less steel, stamped. The quotation comes with the foundation drawing.
- 3 · Foundation on siteYour civil contractor builds it to our drawing; a pit-type weighbridge needs a drained pit with a sump. We can check the levels before the weighbridge arrives.
- 4 · Fabrication and dispatchBuilt and tested in our Ahmedabad workshop; dispatch in about 2 weeks from a commercially cleared order with PO, then delivered and placed on your foundation.
- 5 · Installation and calibrationWeighbridge placed, load cells and indicator connected and calibrated, SMFW stored tares set up (RFID, cameras and boom barrier where ordered), and Legal Metrology verification supported.
- 6 · AMC and serviceAMC, breakdown visits, calibration and annual re-verification support from our technical desk, so the weighbridge stays accurate for years.
