Waghodia weighbridges for compact pharma and chemical plots.
Waghodia GIDC, on the eastern side of Vadodara, is an estate of mid-sized pharma, chemical, engineering and plastics units, many on compact plots where the gate, the parking and the weighbridge all compete for the same few metres. Trucks here are often smaller and the plots tighter than in the big estates, so the right weighbridge is the one that fits. Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा) for units across Waghodia and Jarod.
For a Waghodia pharma or chemical unit on a compact plot, a 40 MT weighbridge (dharam kanta, truck scale) with a 12 m deck usually matches the trucks that actually come (16 m for semi-trailer tankers); a pit-type deck sits flush with the ground and needs no ramps, which saves space at a tight gate. Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad.
Small gate, many vehicles: plan the turn before the deck.
- Made for tight plotsA pit-type deck sits flush with the ground: no ramps, so the gate stays clear for other traffic.
- Waste weighed on your deckWeigh process waste on your own stamped weighbridge before it leaves, so the figure on its documents is yours.
- Records for every auditSMFW keeps every weighment with the vehicle, party and document details, ready for the next audit.
Who needs one in Waghodia GIDC: Pharma formulation and bulk-drug units, specialty chemicals, engineering and fabrication, plastics and packaging, and the transporters and waste-handling contractors who serve them.
Also called a dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा), truck scale or weigh bridge. We also serve Waghodia, Jarod.
Pharma, chemicals and fabrication.
Pharma and bulk-drug units
Solvent tankers and drum trucks come in, finished goods leave in small vans, and every quantity is checked in an audit.
Our setup: A 40 MT, 12 m deck (16 m for semi-trailer tankers), pit-type where the plot is tight, with SMFW slips kept for every weighment.
Specialty chemical units
Raw materials arrive by tanker and process waste leaves with documents that state its quantity, so both figures should come from the unit's own deck.
Our setup: A 40–60 MT, 12–16 m concrete (RCC) deck with sealed IP67/IP68 load cells, weighing tankers in and waste out with an SMFW record of each.
Engineering and fabrication units
Steel comes in on trucks and fabricated work leaves on trailers, usually through the same narrow gate.
Our setup: A 40–60 MT, 16–18 m pit-less steel deck placed so the approach stays straight and the gate stays usable.

Count the ramp metres before you choose the deck.
On many Waghodia plots, space decides the weighbridge before capacity does. A pit-less deck needs a ramp at each end, while a pit-type deck sits flush with the ground and needs no ramps, so the gate stays usable for other traffic, though it still needs a straight, level approach of the deck length on each side. Plan a drain or sump in the pit so monsoon water cannot reach the load cells, and where solvent tankers are weighed, the pit needs drainage that keeps spills and vapour from collecting. Size the deck to the trucks that actually come: tankers and drum trucks are mostly covered by a 40 MT, 12 m deck (16 m for semi-trailer tankers) and vans alone by 30 MT on 9 m, and a smaller deck costs less to build and keep. Process waste sent for authorised disposal leaves with documents that state its quantity, and weighing it on your own stamped deck gives a figure you control.
| Recommended for | Vehicles | Capacity | Deck | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pharma / bulk-drug unit | Tankers, drum trucks, vans | 40 MT | 12 m (16 m for semi-trailer tankers) | Pit-type or concrete (RCC) |
| Specialty chemical unit | Tankers, multi-axle trucks | 40–60 MT | 12–16 m | Concrete (RCC) |

From a gate sketch to a deck that fits.
Six steps for your project in Waghodia GIDC. Most of the waiting is the foundation curing, so the drawing comes first.
- 1 · Your traffic in Waghodia GIDCTell us the heaviest vehicle you weigh (here, typically tankers, drum trucks, vans), the space at the gate and the daily count. An engineer replies within one working day.
- 2 · Size and quotationOur usual starting point (pharma / bulk-drug unit): 40 MT, 12 m (16 m for semi-trailer tankers) deck, Pit-type or concrete (RCC). The quotation comes with the foundation drawing.
- 3 · Foundation on siteYour civil contractor builds it to our drawing; a pit-type deck needs a drained pit with a sump. We can check the levels before the deck arrives.
- 4 · Fabrication and dispatchBuilt and tested in our Ahmedabad workshop; dispatch in about 2 weeks from a commercially cleared order with PO, then delivered and placed on your foundation.
- 5 · Installation and calibrationDeck placed, load cells and indicator connected and calibrated, slip printing set up, and Legal Metrology verification supported.
- 6 · AMC and serviceAMC, breakdown visits, calibration and annual re-verification support from our technical desk, so the weighbridge stays accurate for years.
