Much of Jabalpur is rocky and uneven, and many yards sit on a slope. A weighbridge reads correctly only when the truck stands still and fully on the platform, so the weighbridge itself and a straight, level approach at each end must be set level, even if that means cutting into rock on one side and filling on the other. Do the cut and fill to our drawing, and never seat a pedestal on filled ground: every pedestal goes down to undisturbed rock or firm soil. On a slope, monsoon rain runs downhill straight into a pit, so carry surface water round the weighbridge with a drain on the high side, and give every pit or pedestal its own outlet. Ore and crusher yards are dusty and the tippers run heavy, so a concrete (RCC) weighbridge with sealed IP67/IP68 load cells is the robust choice.
