Jetpur weighbridges for print houses, fuel and yards.
Jetpur is one of India's largest clusters for cotton screen printing, block printing and dyeing: its units print sarees, dress material and the khanga and kitenge fabrics sold in East Africa. Around the cluster work grey-cloth traders, dye and chemical suppliers and boiler-fuel dealers, and the groundnut yards of Jetpur and Dhoraji. Symphony supplies weighbridges, truck scales and dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा) across Jetpur, Dhoraji and Upleta.
For a Jetpur dyeing or printing house, a 40–60 MT weighbridge with a 12–16 m deck weighs boiler-fuel trucks and cloth tempos on one deck; fuel dealers need 60 MT on 16 m, and Dhoraji yard traders a stamped 60 MT kanta. Symphony builds it in Ahmedabad.
Boiler fuel is bought by the tonne: know every tonne.
- Fuel bought on weightA stamped deck and a numbered SMFW slip with the challan number settle every coal, lignite or biomass truck.
- Kept clear of wash waterPlaced at the gate with sealed IP67/IP68 load cells, so dye water and steam stay away from the electronics.
- East Africa experienceJetpur prints for East African buyers; Symphony has supplied weighbridges to Kenya and worked in Rwanda.
Who needs one in Jetpur: Screen printing, block printing and dyeing of cotton sarees, dress material and export prints, grey-cloth trading, dye and chemical supply, boiler fuel (coal, lignite and biomass) for the process houses, groundnut and cotton trading at the Jetpur and Dhoraji yards, and groundnut oil mills.
Also called a dharam kanta (धर्म कांटा), truck scale or weigh bridge. We also serve Dhoraji, Upleta, Navagadh, Jam Kandorna.
Prints, fuel and groundnut.
Dyeing and printing houses
Fuel comes in by the truck, cloth goes out by the tempo, and both pass the same gate.
Our setup: A 40–60 MT, 12–16 m deck at the gate, with separate SMFW records for fuel, cloth and chemicals.
Boiler-fuel dealers
Coal, lignite and biomass are sold by the tonne to many units, and each buyer checks the weight.
Our setup: A 60 MT, 16 m concrete (RCC) or pit-less deck with numbered slips that carry the challan.
Yard traders in Jetpur and Dhoraji
Groundnut and cotton arrive in season on tractor-trolleys and trucks, and every lot is paid on net weight.
Our setup: A stamped 60 MT, 16 m pit-less kanta with quick, numbered slips.

Wash water and tight gates: place the deck with care.
Jetpur's units work close together in the town, with wash water, colour and steam all around. Place the weighbridge at the gate, away from the washing and drying areas, so dye water and steam never reach the junction boxes. Where trucks must turn in from a narrow lane, a flush pit-type deck saves the ramp length that a pit-less deck needs, but it needs a sump and a pump so water never stands under the platform. Boiler fuel is the load to watch: coal, lignite and biomass are bought by the tonne, often with a moisture deduction, so a numbered SMFW slip with gross, tare, net and the supplier's challan number settles each truck. Grey cloth and printed bales are light for their volume, so for them quick slips that carry the lot number matter more than extra deck length.

From the fuel challan to the matched slip.
Six steps for your project in Jetpur. Most of the waiting is the foundation curing, so the drawing comes first.
- 1 · Your traffic in JetpurTell us the heaviest vehicle you weigh (here, typically fuel trucks, grey-cloth and finished-goods tempos), the space at the gate and the daily count. An engineer replies within one working day.
- 2 · Size and quotationOur usual starting point (dyeing and printing house): 40–60 MT (30–40 MT for small units), 12–16 m (9–12 m for small units) deck, Pit-less steel, or pit-type on tight plots. The quotation comes with the foundation drawing.
- 3 · Foundation on siteYour civil contractor builds it to our drawing; a pit-type deck needs a drained pit with a sump. We can check the levels before the deck arrives.
- 4 · Fabrication and dispatchBuilt and tested in our Ahmedabad workshop; dispatch in about 2 weeks from a commercially cleared order with PO, then delivered and placed on your foundation.
- 5 · Installation and calibrationDeck placed, load cells and indicator connected and calibrated, slip printing set up, and Legal Metrology verification supported.
- 6 · AMC and serviceAMC, breakdown visits, calibration and annual re-verification support from our technical desk, so the weighbridge stays accurate for years.
