A weighbridge at the yard gate lets the dispatcher check every truck before it leaves; an 18 m platform takes a multi-axle trailer in one weighing, and SMFW prints the vehicle number, party, gross, tare and net with an invoice or LR number on each slip. Second, textiles: weaving and texturising units receive yarn in cartons and bobbins and send out fabric rolls, often in mixed lots on the same truck, so the weight on the slip is checked against the supplier's invoice and the unit's own dispatch note; stored tares for regular trucks keep the gate quick. Third, building material: sand, aggregate and RMC trucks are heavy and drop grit on every trip, and a concrete (RCC) weighbridge, with a 25-year structural warranty on the RCC (T&C), takes that work. South Gujarat's monsoon is heavy, and low plots in the belt can hold water, so raise a pit-less weighbridge on pedestals with a drain around it, or plan a sump and pump for a pit-type one, and finish the civil work before the rains.
